What is Permission-Based Email Marketing?
Email Marketing is a timely and cost-effective alternative to direct mail, typically used for commercial or communicative purposes via email. Upaknee operates on the premise of permission-based email marketing; thus, in order to send emails, you must first obtain full consent for your subscribers. Once permission has been granted, individuals/companies have the ability to send relevant information, promotions, or other communications, customized to their subscribers.
Do I have to add an unsubscribe link?
Yes – you must add an unsubscribe link to each message you send. Permission-based email marketing also requires that you provide recipients with the option of unsubscribing, or opting-out of receiving future messages, should they wish. Upaknee ensures clients adhere to legislation governing permission-based email marketing.
What if I don’t have a contact list?
If you don’t have a contact list yet, it’s no problem. Campaign Manager will help you add a subscription form to your website, Facebook page, or both. This will help you to grow your contact list, and in the meantime, you can use the Getting Started Wizard to help you create your first campaign.
Can I use a purchased list of email addresses?
No – you cannot use purchased lists as permission-based email requires consent from each recipient. Upaknee is fighting the war against spam ensuring clients adhere to anti-spam legislation. If we suspect you are spamming, we have the right to terminate your account.
Do I need to know HTML to create beautiful campaigns?
Although knowledge of HTML is a great asset, it is not required to create a campaign. Campaign Manager’s easy-edit tools allow you to create beautiful and professional campaigns without writing a single line of code.
How do I avoid being mistaken for spam?
Spam is unsolicited, bulk email (junk email), which typically contains commercial content and is sent frequently to untargeted recipients. Our Deliverability Manager performs seed testing every day to hundreds of addresses at the ISPs, and our inbox rate is consistently over 98%. Upaknee’s Campaign Manager also provides spam tests you can quickly administer to ensure your message is not flagged as spam, and Upaknee will work with your ISP if you experience further difficulties.
What is the difference between an active and trial account?
Trial account users have the ability to test the Campaign Manager platform with some limitations and restricted access to the interface, including no access to Autoresponders or the ability to edit welcome and confirmation emails. Active account users are operational, paying clients, who are not denied access to the interface, and can upgrade, downgrade, or suspend the account at any time.
What do I get with the free/trial account?
A free (or trial) account permits you to have 250 contacts, with a monthly spending limit of 1000 emails. There is no contract, no credit card is required, and you can cancel your plan at any time.
Why do I need to provide address information during registration?
During the registration process, we ask you to provide your address information simply to adhere to Canadian legislation governing commercial electronic mail messages, specifically in accordance with CAN-SPAM and Canada’s Anti-Spam Law (CASL).
What if I want to cancel my account?
If you choose to cancel your account, you can do so at any time with no obligation and no charges. You are welcome to remain on the free trial account for as long as you wish, and upgrade your plan as your contact list grows.
